Pricing questions

What is "Curio time"?
Minutes your children spend with Curio's AI: math lessons, homework help and reading sessions. All your children share the family's time. Test-style practice, Home Crew chores, Adventure Pack printables and MySelf don't use Curio time and are unlimited on every plan.
What happens when we run out?
Your child's current session always finishes; Curio never stops mid-lesson, and children never see a meter. You get a message with a one-tap top-up (200 minutes for $9.99, never expires). Otherwise Curio's AI parts pause until next month, and everything else keeps working.
How many children can use one plan?
Any number. Brothers and sisters share the family's Curio time, so you never pay per child.
Is there a free trial?
The Free plan is the trial, and it doesn't end: 1 hour of Curio a month, plus a 2-hour welcome bonus in your first 14 days. There is no trial that quietly turns into a paid plan.
Why do you ask for a card on the free plan?
US law (COPPA) asks apps for children under 13 to get a parent's verifiable permission. A small card check is one of the accepted ways. Free families see a 50¢ charge that is refunded the same day. Paid families give permission at checkout.
What is the founding family price?
Families who join in the first 60 days after public launch on 30 November 2026, and families invited to the founding beta, get the Family plan for $19.99 a month or $169.99 a year. That price is locked for 12 months. We remind you 30 days before it ends.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, in the same place you subscribed. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. No phone call, no cancellation fee.
